Family Art Hour
We believe it is important to provide kids with artistic freedom and latitude to make their own creative choices and work at their own pace, while downplaying the aesthetic value of the finished product. This promotes each child’s unique expression and discovery of the joy of art.

Regardless of the project, materials or medium we are working with, children are given suggested topics and techniques to stimulate their imagination and help them to visualize their ideas. We balance this approach with a mix of more structured, instructed projects so they can experience the realization that yes they can draw a giraffe! They are not always given prescribed step-by-step procedures, directions, or examples to copy, which can inhibit self-expression and lead to a frustrating urge for perfection.

We strive to stimulate their thoughts, feelings, and perception in a way that inspires and encourages each child to express their ideas visually, while offering individualized guidance during the creative process as needed.
Our Mixed Media class sessions are geared towards kids age 18m - 15 yrs., split into age groups, and offered throughout the week. We even offer adult classes + workshops!
Our weekly Mixed Media classes for kids ages 18m - 15 yrs are rooted in fine art principles, fused with contemporary trends, & slathered in your child's individual expression! Explore painting, drawing, sculpture, pastel, printmaking and more throughout each 6 week session.
Each week we dabble in a different media using only the finest materials. We prefer oil pastels, liquid watercolors, & heavyweight paper! Crayons just aren't our thing.
Pre-school children are introduced to a supportive social environment in which to gradually explore their independence with a parent or caretaker, building social and coordination skills, self-awareness and self-confidence. Older children are guided through the creative process through encouragement of original and creative self-expression. You’ll want to drive straight to the frame shop!

Our bright & festive studio is a perfect place to celebrate your special day (ages 4 - 100). We love any ‘ol celebration - let us plan a unique & exciting event to commemorate a birthday, graduation, holiday, special accomplishment or milestone!
From the personalized digital invites to the fun decor and creative party activities, the guest of honor will feel like a rock star and everyone will bring home their own unique art project and stellar goody bag of arts & crafts materials!

Our favorite medium for this type of art experience is layered mixed media, a process in which you build up layers of oil pastel, chalk pastel, different types of paints and textures. This process offers many unique ways to personalize and customize your art in ways that are meaningful to your family, making the final piece a cherished heirloom and one that you will proudly have in your family for years to come!

AVAILABLE DAYS / TIMES / AGES
Parties are on weekends (Fri-Sun) at our Art Studio
Parties are 1.5 hrs, with the last 15-20 minutes set aside for a sweet treat!
Presents are not opened at the party so we have more time for art! Art Parties start at age 4.
ADULT EVENTS
Any event is a great excuse to get friends together to create! We even host grown-up birthday parties! Our tables are adjustable, so the space transforms nicely into a comfortable height for people taller than 42 inches, or we can host at a venue of your choice!
THEMED PARTIES
We’re happy to customize a theme inspired by your child’s unique personality and interests. We don’t limit you to picking from a short list of “cookie cutter” options – we have thousands of creative art projects and are always inventing new ones! Every guest will take home a unique art or pottery project of their own creation! Just send us a message to get started!
EVENT DEPOSIT
A $150 deposit will secure your reservation, with the balance due at the end of the party via Cash or Electronic Payment, based on the number of children who attended. Deposits are non-refundable unless we are able to book another party in your time slot.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
All art supplies, tables, chairs, an online photo album, and a personalized digital invitation that you can circulate via email or print at home. Our rockin’ goody bags with cool art supplies & a complimentary class coupon for each guest are available for an additional $45 for the group.
YOU SUPPLY
You supply your choice of cake, cupcakes, donuts + drinks, napkins, utensils, plates, & candles. We can only accommodate light and quick packaged dry snacks (goldfish, etc.) so that the art activities take center stage! You can provide goody bags or purchase ours for $45.
