We spent the majority of the afternoon out at Lest We Forget SW Michigan at the SW Michigan Airport in Benton Harbor. It was such a treat to be able to meet so many veterans, and to hear stories from a female perspective on what it was to be a soldier across generations. There was a fun Rosie the Riveter contest so lots of folks were dressed up walking around in their costume and that was really cool. We also saw folks boarding the helicopter - with no doors! - to take a helicopter ride. So much fun stuff going on out there inside including lots of reenactments outdoors as well. Here are a few fun photos from the day.
